Contrary to some people’s beliefs, timber performs well in fire. Unlike other forms of construction – e.g. masonry and steel – it doesn’t deflect at high temperatures. Are timber frame homes quiet?

Yes, modern timber frame systems enjoy better acoustic insulation qualities than masonry or steel systems and fully conform to, or exceed, the latest Building Regulations requirements.
