The Lodge – Blog 13 – Outdoor Living Area

The composite decking for the outdoor living area at our new timber frame bungalow has been completed.

Composite Decking

One of the benefits of one-storey living is the opportunity for connection to the garden.

Sliding Doors and Decking

We have made the most of our bungalow design by creating access to the outside through multiple sliding doors; from the open plan kitchen / dining / living area, cinema room and master bedroom.

Bungalow Build

The large glazed units frame views of the greenery and enable an indoor/outdoor feel.

Composite Decking

The main decked space is sheltered from the elements by an extension of the bungalow’s flat roof, with electric lights and a roof window illuminating the area.

Outdoor Living Area

We have chosen Millboard ‘Enhanced Grain’ composite decking in a Limed Oak colour.

Hand moulded from real oak boards, the wood-alternative decking has a textured look and feel, emulating the natural beauty of timber, but is slip and moisture-resistant, ensuring safety, longevity and a low-maintenance finish.
