This week the main focus has been to set out the tiles across the roof in readiness for the tiles to be laid later in the week
Crates of tiles are lifted up onto the loading bay
Small piles of tiles are made to start with and then are added to gradually.
All tiles are up and stacked in piles ready.
Storm Roofing start by laying the tiles on the small overhang at the front of the right hand gable and then will move backwards across the roof. Due to our location and the pitch of the roof, not all tiles have to be individually nailed, the pattern is enough to hold them in place.
At the end of the first week of tiling – half the right hand gable is tiled with the ridge tiles in place. The dormer window is also tiled. We will take more photos of the other elevations over the coming weeks as tiling progresses.
